Hi HN — I’m a designer who “vibe codes” on the side. I built ScreamAI.pics to turn quick prompts into spooky images for posters, thumbnails, and concept art. It ships with simple presets (haunted room, eerie forest, VHS ‘80s, etc.) and supports custom prompts + image uploads.

Why: I wanted a fast, playful way to explore creepy visuals without heavyweight tools. Built for Halloween vibes, but fun year-round.

Stack: Next.js 15 on Vercel, Cloudflare R2 for storage, a mix of image-gen APIs behind a small queue. Pricing: free to try; HD/no-watermark on paid.

Would love feedback on landing clarity, onboarding, latency under load, and pricing friction. Known rough edges: hands/faces can be weird; occasional timeouts under heavy traffic.
